Music, memory and eternity

Harald Plontke's musical roots reach back to the 1980s, when as a teenager he was the keyboard player and main songwriter of the Frankfurt-area pop band OBC, which won the 1822 Bandwettbewerb. In this time he also gained his first experience with home recording, from four-track demo production to early computer-based music production on the Atari ST using Cubase and Notator.

After a long break devoted largely to family life, Plontke returned to music more intensively around 2017. The name EIYEN comes from the Japanese word 永遠 and means eternity.
